The "Seminar on Combating Addiction," organized by our Vocational School of Social Sciences, was held in classroom FS 106 at 11:00 AM. Psychologist Ömer Çelik, from the Muş Provincial Directorate of Health, delivered a presentation during the event.
Psychologist Çelik highlighted the recent rise in addictions both in our country and globally, emphasizing that these addictions are not limited to substances such as drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. He noted that social media and digital games also carry a very high potential for addiction. In his presentation, Çelik discussed how to identify individuals struggling with addiction and how to communicate with them; he concluded his talk by expressing his gratitude to the vocational school for the invitation.
The program ended following a Q&A session, with Lecturer Abdullah Demir, Deputy Director of the Vocational School of Social Sciences, presenting a certificate of appreciation to Psychologist Ömer Çelik.
