Students in the Civil Aviation and Cabin Services program at our university’s Vocational School of Social Sciences are preparing for their professional lives through hands-on training.
In the Civil Aviation and Cabin Services program, which currently serves 120 students, trainees are preparing to become well-equipped cabin crew members—experts in their field—through practical training conducted in a mock-up cabin classroom. Beyond mastering the specific duties and responsibilities of the profession, cabin crew candidates must also possess qualities such as the ability to remain calm and assist passengers during emergencies, react quickly to problems, and adopt a solution-oriented approach. Through hands-on training provided by expert faculty members, they are being groomed as qualified personnel to meet the airline industry's growing demand for staff.
Lecturer Neslihan Demirel, Head of the Civil Aviation and Cabin Services Program, stated that practical training plays a crucial role in students' professional success and noted that the program places significant emphasis on these courses. Demirel said, "Our graduates can find employment opportunities across a wide spectrum, ranging from various operational areas within airlines and airports to businesses linked to the aviation sector. By teaching all the professional requirements through hands-on training, we offer them excellent career prospects. We extend our gratitude to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, and our Vocational School Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özalper, for providing the necessary facilities for this training."
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özalper, Rector’s Advisor and Director of the Vocational School of Social Sciences, emphasized that the education students receive during their university years is a major determinant of their future careers; therefore, providing high-quality education remains their top priority.
